Purpose of the Bargaining Council For The Grain Industry

The purpose of the Bargaining Council for the Grain Industry is to advance the interests of all stakeholders within the grain industry in their quest to enhance economic development and the promotion of social justice in terms of section 1 of the Labour Relations Act, 66 of 1995 as amended.

In advancing the interests of the stakeholders, the Council is committed to the promotion of orderly collective bargaining within the industry, training and development of representatives of parties to the Council as well as staff, prevention of disputes and effective dispute resolution.
